10 Years progressive experience as a communications technician

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

•Managed, operated, maintained, and repaired over $10 million dollars worth of satellite communications equipment.

•Tracked and closed out over 800 repair orders with parts requisitions.

•While in a Korean communications exercise provided oversight of the whole satellite communications architecture in the theater of operations.

•Managed, operated, maintained, and repaired a shipboard satellite communications terminal during at sea operations as well as coordinated the efforts of data and telephone professionals working their part of the communications architecture during a high visibility communications exercise.

•Coordinated personnel, time, and equipment in setting up of video teleconferences to allow families to speak with their loved ones in a wartime environment.  

•Zero security incidence for a seven month period.

•Processed ten security clearance packages while deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.

•Created an access policy that controlled access to critical communications assets in the theater of operations resulting in zero security violations.   

•Conducted security training to over 500 Marines to obtain maximum operational security.

•Submitted and coordinated the completion of hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of facility work orders that included facility support contracting jobs.

•Managed an outstanding safety and hazmat department, with no major discrepancies.
