My Educational & Career Goals

I hope to one day see a play I wrote be performed on a off Broadway stage. I am currently a Liberal Arts major, and it's not because I don't know what I am going to do but it is because I love a lot of things and don't find it necessary to be tie down to one specific thing right now. I am motivated to continue to pursue my goals and careers by attending good four year schools once I graduate LaGuardia.

Career Goals: I plan to pursue a career in playwriting and Arts management. I have constantly been told to always follow my dreams and have a backup plan. That is exactly what I am doing right now, following my dreams but making sure I can also be financially stable. My interest vary, I am easily attracted to different subjects, especially within culture and the arts. This may be why I want to be a playwright, because through my writing I can share my ideas and newly learned facts with everyone. I think my interests are very much related to my career choice, I mean they are the means I am trying to convey through my writing.

Educational Goals: My Educational goals are simple, to finish school.

Steps Along the Way: I plan to achieve my goal by staying focus and reminding myself that this is something I want and need for personal satisfaction.

Transfer & Advanced Education: I plan on transferring to a school that will understand my needs as a student. I would love to be part of the Sarah Lawrence community, of course it is out of my price range but it would definitely be a honor to finish my BFA at that school. I plan on continuing to work at LAGCC so I can be eligible to apply for scholarships that would possibly make my dream come true.
