About Me

I was born and grew up in Caracas, Venezuela.  It is definitely a drastic difference between living in a third world country and New York City. But I must say, Venezuela is one of the most beautiful countries I have ever been to. When it comes to nature, Caracas has it all. For instance, every day I was able to enjoy the view of a beautiful mountain range that towers over the city, “El Avila”. The beaches and tropical jungles are amazing scenery as well. On the other hand, The Big Apple, which is another amazing city that has caught my attention ever since I was a little girl. Those huge buildings, interesting architecture, and incredible diversity always made me think that it is the right place to pursue my studies.

I am a current student at LaGuardia Community College majoring in Business Administration: Aviation Management. I chose this career because in my early years, I was surrounded by the aviation world because my brother is a pilot and my father is a huge fan. This semester I am working as a tutor for Math and Spanish. Certainly, it is a challenge but the satisfaction received when able to help others compares to nothing.

 When my studies at LaGCC are done, I will continue my fight to pursue one of my biggest goals, which is to acquire my bachelor’s degree. I will keep giving my best to accomplish the requisites to transfer to a 4-year college. I am considering Columbia University, New York University and Vaughn College as my top choices, I know it is a challenge but who say I cannot?
