  • Attended surgical procedure; accompanied my patient to PACU and assessed every 15 minutes

SCR 110 Mar-Jun 2011: Coler-Goldwater Hospital, Roosevelt Island, NY (Fundamentals Rotation)

  • Performed basic morning care
  • Performed cephalocaudal assessments
  • Inspected patients for decubitus ulcer formation and prevention: documented findings
  • Performed and documented vital signs
  • Employed the Nursing Process when assessing patients

 

Standing Tall School for Non-Verbal Children with Physical Impairments

I and several of my classmates spent the day at Standing Tall. We helped the staff set up for a party and joined with the children in the celebration of a birthday.

Spring of 2011, I was recognized by my colleagues and peers for outstanding performance as a student; in particular, the quality of my written body of work.  The ePortfolio Event was a wonderful and joyous experience I will treasure for a lifetime.  A special nod of gratitude to each of my Professors for bestowing upon me this incomparable honor.
