Hello future Spanish translators!

     Peer Advisors in the Spanish/English Translation program work under the direct supervision of the program director, Dr. Ana María Hernández. The Spanish/English Translation program here at LaGuardia is a glimpse of one the growing professions in New York City that prepares students to pursue this career. Students are also encouraged to transfer to Hunter College for a bachelors degree in this field since it is the only one in the city that offers this program. 

     Congratulations for choosing the Spanish/English Translation major at LaGuardia Community College.  We are very pleased and excited to welcome you to our E-portfolio where we hope to share with you all the information about the major and to answer any questions you may have.  This e-portfolio is a tool that you can utilize for any of your concerns about your path in the major.
