MODERN LANGUAGE COURSE FAIR

E BUILDING ATRIUM
2:00 – 4:00 PM
Come join us at the Modern Language Fair where you can visit different language booths to take a brief lesson in the languages of your choice. You’ll also hear some live music and you’ll see some interesting artifacts and costumes from several countries.

The New York City Hispanic Chamber of Commerce’s
$2,000 Scholarship Award Opportunity

The mission of the New York City Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (NYCHCC) is to
represent and advocate for Hispanic businesses in New York City. We assist new
entrepreneurs, strengthen existing businesses, and assure the growth and success of
Hispanic businesses. The $2,000 NYCHCC Scholarship Award is designed to assist
students of Hispanic heritage obtain a college degree. Scholarships are available on a
competitive\need basis to:
● United States citizens\residents, of Hispanic
descent
● CUNY Undergraduate students
Scholarship program eligibility:
● 3.0 grade point average or higher
● CUNY student with financial need
● Community service (not required, but highly
recommended)
A 500-650 word essay is required with including:
● How the scholarship award would help student excel
● Career goals\ accomplishments
● Interest in playing a supportive role in the Hispanic businesses and Hispanic
community
Awards will be announced during the 10th Annual Business Banquet &
Scholarship Reception on Dec. 4th 2015. All winners must be present to
receive award.
