Bukowski Titled his Book "Post Office"

Standing on this line,
with those people behind the counter,
in this post office reassured me
that there was no god or
perhaps there was
and today I’ve learned
the comedy of his humor.
I stare at the cracked glass
held securely by the heavy metal door
and can understand the frustration
that forced the concentric design.
After all,
this particular post office
was rated two stars on Yelp
(a user mentioned they would’ve given it 0 stars
if it had been an option).
I wondered if
the frustrated window breaker
also stood on line,
with the same people
   behind those counters,
and questioned why
god hasn’t bestowed down upon him
his mercy and grace.
