Dr. James L. Giordano


Biography:

   Dr. Giordano is the Program Director for the Travel, Tourism and Hospitality Management at LaGuardia Community College of the City University of New York. Industry background includes director of sales and marketing post at Taj International, Wyndham, and Inter-Continental Hotels and Resorts.

His work allows him to assist students wanting to develop their skills as they enter this industry. Dr. Giordano started teaching at the College full time in 2001, while he previously served as an Adjunct Professor since 1992.

   His Hospitality and Tourism teaching experiences includes the Master of Science (M.S.) Degree Program at Fairleigh Dickenson University's, Graduate Hospitality Management Program, and the Bachelor's Degree Programs at St. John’s University, New York City College of Technology, (CityTech-CUNY), and New York Institute of Technology (NYIT), He previously served as Director of Career Services and Cooperative Education at Polytechnic University (currently NYU Engineering).

Degrees earned include: Education Doctorate (Ed.D.) in Instructional Leadership, St. John’s University NY, and Master of Science (M.S.) Degree Program in International Transportation Management at State University of New York (S.U.N.Y.) Maritime College, and Bachelor of Science (BS) in Communications & Business Management, St. John’s University.
